I was very hesitant to discuss funeral wishes for my father in long term care previous to his death but my sister encouraged me as the economic state is currently so unpredictable. Between her and I, we contacted several funeral homes in the vicinity. My sister suffers with anxiety issues which results in a speech impediment, and I honestly didn't want to face the possibility of my father's mortality.
After discussing our experiences with the funeral facilities, it was exceedingly clear that Reflections was our best option in both professionalism and personalization. They were understanding but relatable (you can definitely tell they have a good sense of humor when appropriate), upfront and honest about pricing, worked with our budget, offer all options without a "sales" pitch, made us feel comfortable about our decisions, no "nickel and diming", honest, empathetic, and available around the clock (whether it was email, phone or even text). They were willing to work over email to ease my sister's anxieties, had clear and expedient ways of providing product options, and just so nice to deal with overall. It's extremely clear that they give the best of themselves in all things.
After talking with friends about my positive experience with Reflections, I also learnt how community minded they are. Always giving back and volunteering their time, and going the extra mile constantly in their personal time (and for funerals as well). Providing people with a positive experience no matter the circumstance is evident.
You can tell that the staff that work there genuinely care about you AND about each other. I think it's so important that employees feel like they are proud of their workplace and employer, as I'm sure they all see each other at their worst moments in this kind of industry! That tells me that their service is genuine and that they care immensely about each others well being, as well as the people they serve. This business is truly blessed with special people!

We selected Reflections Funeral Services for my dad's grave side service on August 19, 2020. Candice Anderson connected virtually with all of us, due to COVID restrictions, to review our wishes and make sure the service met our needs. She made suggestions and encouraged us to consider things (i.e., memorial cards, video, flower selections), which have resulted in lasting positive memories. Candice arrived early to set up the chairs, speaker system, flowers, etc. She attended to every detail, was compassionate, patient and supportive. I would strongly recommend Reflections to anyone that has lost a loved one and needs the services of a funeral home or director in Vermilion, Alberta or surrounding area.

I was in need of some engraving on my Dads headstone. I was givin a quote by “ local competitor “ and I asked to have it done in 3 weeks if possible before the memorial service. Was guaranteed it would b ready. After a rash of excuses I finally had the pleasure of meeting Candice from Reflections. In short her service was unreal. What was good enough for me wasn’t for her. She found the exact match to the unorthodox font that was on the headstone n had it prepared n done before the time she had promised. I received updates n photos of the progress n was kept updated like no one else ever has in the past. The service— the people— the integrity— FIRST CLASS!!! They should change the name to ABOVE N BEYOND!! Absolutely 100% satisfied and to top it off the final price was lower than the quote which I was happy w as it was already 30% less than the competition!!! Way to go Candice n staff!! Good luck!!
