With heavy hearts, the family of Joy Lanovaz announce her peaceful passing. Joy will be lovingly remembered by her children: Dean, Daniel, D’Arcy, Jocelyne & Dale; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, brother Vic and many friends / extended families. Close to her heart were many friends from her work with the Ex-RCAF Air Women’s Association, Catholic Women’s League (Annunciation), and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
She is now reunited with her husband Denis, sister Gwen, parents and many other friends and family who predeceased her.
Mom, you fought the good fight; you finished the race; you kept the faith. You will always be loved and missed by all.
An opportunity to say good-bye, celebrate her life, and cherish her memories, a funeral mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church (9420 163 Street, Edmonton) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023. She will be reunited with Dad at their final resting place in Duck Lake Saskatchewan in the summer of 2023.
A very special thank you to the staff at the Vermilion Health Care Centre for their compassion, care and support - they truly are unsung heroes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of Vermilion Health Centre to help support their good works, or to a charity of your choice.
