On Tuesday, August 29, 2006 Mrs. Velva Funk of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 76 years. Velva is survived by her loving family; four children, Brian (Karen) Lapierre of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Rick (Marlene) Lapierre of Wainwright, Alberta, Lavonne (George) Jackson of Czar, Alberta, Ken (Sharon) Funk of Okotoks, Alberta; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Maxine (Joe) Baxter, Audrey (Norman) Cooper, Charlotte (Harold) Fisher; two brothers, Melvin (Josephine) Hill, Doug Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin; her father and stepmother, Ernest and Lila Hill; her mother, Dorothy Hill; one brother, Stan Hill.
