Sharon Marie (Bensmiller) Bates

Sharon Bates, of Dewberry, passed away on August 30, 2026 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 77 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lindsey (Judy) Bates, Lyle Bates, Delinda Card, and Lorne Bates; grandchildren Ryley, Lleyton, Adyson, Shawn (Chelsea), Kassidy (Garrett), Reece, Jennah, Khloe, Aleayah, Tinley, Isaiah, and Burke; great grandchildren Scarlett, Nelly, Gavin and Graham; siblings Alffa Foley, Larry (Terry) Bensmiller, Sam (Jo-Ann) Bensmiller, Buddy (Darlene) Bensmiller, and Bonny (Bob) Monteith; siblings-in-law Frances Bates and Mel Bates; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Dale Bates; parents Allan & Evie Bensmiller; siblings Dale, Carson, Donna and Beatrice; son-in-law Todd Card; and brothers-in-law Wayne Wagar, Fred Foley, and Ron Bates.

A private family service to take place.
