Mary McPherson

Mary McPherson passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at home near Islay, Alberta, at the age of 68 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years David McPherson; children Shawna McPherson (Kyle Semeniuk), Erin McPherson (Chris Morrison), Keith (Carla) McPherson, and Wendy (Shawn) Nelson; grandchildren Liam & Asher Semeniuk, Corbin & Logan McPherson, and Everett & Aiden Nelson; siblings Anthony Van Winden and Children, Jenny (Gerry) Carrigan and Children, Pete (Debbie) Van Winden and Children, and Tuny Van Winden and Children; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Gerardus (Joe) & Jacoba Van Winden; parents in law Keith & Irma McPherson; sisters Maggie Van Winden and Caroline Van Winden; brother Adrian Van Winden; brothers in law Stuart LeVoguer and David Lamb; and Nephew Placid Van Winden-Dineen.

A celebration of life to take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Islay Community Hall.

A service in Quebec to follow, date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Islay Hospital Auxiliary or charity of one’s choice.
