Katherine Jacula

With Great sadness the family announces the passing of Katherine (Kay) Jacula with family at her side on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Vermilion Health Care Centre. Survived by her loving husband Nick, one brother Matt Bykewich of Vermilion, three sisters: Nancy Charchun of Derwent, Stella Trachuk of Vermilion, Nadia (Oliver) Wasnea of Mundare, 2 brothers-in-law: Paul Jacula of Vermilion, Bill (Stephania) Jacula of Vermilion, sister-in-law Adeline (Frank) Stokowski of Red Deer as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Marie in 1981. Her parents, John and Anna Bykewich, father and mother- in-law Mike and Sophie Jacula, sister-in-law Barbara Jacula, brothers-in-law Steve Charchun and Peter Trachuk and her nephew Gordon Charchun. Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service for Kay will be conducted from St. Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church, Vermilion, on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Father Vasyl Nykyforuk and Reverend Father Slavko Dumec officiating. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Vermilion, Alberta. In lieu of floral tributes donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
