Gwendolyn "Gwen" Carol (Pierce) Nelson

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Nelson passed away on January 10, 2024 in Wainwright, Alberta at the age of 91 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert (Heather) Nelson, Wendy Isert, Dan (Shona) Nelson, and Cindy (Danny) Wehr; grandchildren Chase Isert, Tyson Isert, Asha Nelson, Shaelyn (James) Woods, Randi (Ashton) Kuhn, and Trax Wehr; great grandchildren Marlo, Smith, Olivia, Elliott, and Henry; sister Evyon Gruntman; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Victor William Nelson; son Kimberly Nelson; grandson Tyler Nelson; parents Adrian and Birdy Pierce; brother Arnold (Terri) Pierce; sisters Belva (Melvin) Goede and Evelyn (John) Gabrielson; and brother-in-law Lawrence Gruntman.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dewberry Cemetery, with reception to follow at the Dewberry Hall.

Memorial donations may be made to Dewberry Fire & Rescue, Alzheimer’s Society, SPCA or charity of one’s choice.
