George Belanger

On Monday, April 13, 2009 Mr. Joseph Neree George Belanger (Known as George or by many children, as Santa)passed away at his home in Wainwright at the age of 69 years. George is loved and remembered by his wife Jean of Wainwright, 2 daughters: Cindy (Gordon) Chiliak of Alsask, SK, and Kimberley (Robert) Barber of Rockland, Ontario; 4 grandchildren: Joseph and Tasha Chiliak, Zachery and Kayla Barber; his sisters: Annette (Leo) Amyotte of St.Paul, Germaine (Edouard) Amyotte of St. Paul and Dina (Steve) Smereka of St. Paul; his brother Rene (Joan) Belanger of Hay River; sister-in-law Alice Belanger of Kamloops as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial for George will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Wainwright, Alberta on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Leonard Gartner officaiting. In keeping with George's wishes he will be cremated at Creech's Crematorium, Lloydminster following the Service. Donations may be made to "Haying in the Thirties Club" (C/O Edgar Corbiere PO Box 35, Mallaig, AB T0A 2H0) all donations are used to help families who have a loved one with cancer and may need financial assistance.
