Debbie Ruth (Pitula) Chanasyk

Debbie Chanasyk passed away on June 14, 2024 in Vermilion, Alberta at the age of 68 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years Henry; children Sheldon Chanasyk, and Anita (Aron) Horpestad; grandchildren Courtney Horpestad (Matthew DeJong), Austin Horpestad (Julia Matthews), and Landan Horpestad; siblings Donna Annino, Dwayne (Wanda) Pitula, and Cindy (Richard) Lefsrud; siblings in law Adeline (Edward) Trach, Betty Trynchuk, Andy Rozdziabek, and Sharon Kabatoff; aunts Mary Tislak and Sheila Eisen; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was loved by so many.

She was predeceased by her parents Steve Pitula and Joan Thengs; siblings in law Lou Annino, Ernie Trynchuk, Diana Rozdziabek, and Raymond Chanasyk; and niece Crystol Chanasyk.

A Public Viewing with a Come & Go Reception will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the MasonStar Hall, 4902D—50 Avenue, Vermilion.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice.
